Geci lives in Johannesburg, South Africa. She is currently a Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Witwatersrand’s School of Governance, and is also affiliated with South African Cities Network, the Civic Tech Innovation Network, and The Emergence Network . She has lived / work experience in several African countries, including Kenya, Botswana, Ghana, Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Zambia, Cape Verde, and Morocco. Geci has had experience with futures literacy through her involvement in UNESCO’s Imagining Africa’s Futures Literacy Project, and had a long history in foresight through the Millennium Project whose Southern Africa Node she co-founded in 2004. She plays the roles of a futurist, researcher, and development practitioner in the C2D project.

Fred has worked in various countries which include Kenya, Tanzania, Senegal, Nigeria plus past projects in Ethiopia, Côte d”Ivore, Burkina, Niger, Zambia, Uganda, Zimbabwe, DRC. Fred has particular interest in how to bring the Future Literacy to evaluation – which usually looks back and concludes with recommendations based on what happened in the past without skills in Futures Literacy. The primary role he will be playing is that of an evaluator in the C2D project.

Originally from Cameroon, Eva is based in France. A jurist by training, she focuses her recent works on the role that norms play in the production and evolution of anticipatory systems using lessons learned from postcolonial legally pluralist contexts as evidence of complexity. She is also keen to work on African representations and uses of the future. Eva has worked in countries such Ethiopia, Niger, Tanzania and Uganda. She also has experience with Futures Literacy Labs and peer facilitation in different contexts in Africa and Europe. Eva will take on the role of a Futurist and Researcher in the C2D project.
